Rob Edwards and Gary O'Neil represent the initial names under consideration to replace Vitor Pereira as manager of Wolves.

Pereira was sacked on Sunday after the team's ten-game without a victory beginning to the Premier League campaign.

Furthermore both candidates - each of whom have previous links to the team - are among the options to be considered by the club ownership.

The manager is currently at another club, which would pose a possible hurdle to his hiring at Molineux.

However the ex- Luton manager - who made more than 100 of games for Wolves during his time as a player - is said to be a leading candidate for the position.

The mid-career manager is reportedly enjoys backing from the club board as they start the search of hiring a new manager.

O'Neil is also appearing as a surprise candidate, although he would be a surprising choice given he was released by Wolves in December last year.

The ex- West Ham midfielder is currently unemployed which means the club would not need to provide any buyout fee.
