I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
