Child Pushed from Tate Modern Can Now to Run, Jump and Swim
Relatives of a minor who received critical wounds after getting pushed from the top floor of the Tate Modern have revealed their "little knight" has reached his target of being able to run, jump, and swim again.
The young boy was six when he was pushed off a balcony by a youth, then 17 years old.
The child, who was traveling with the family in 2019 when attacked, lived through a 100ft drop but suffered significant harm, like a bleed on the brain and broken bones.
Parents said in an news on a crowdfunding site, they were happy that he had been capable to improve with his running, jumping and swimming before his forthcoming procedure.
"He can't do it like other children his age, certainly, but we can no longer explain his movements in another manner than by calling it's jumping, swimming, and running."
"It varies, only over a short distance or a low level, but it's an incredible achievement."
The child, who spent months in ICU, has persisted to gain cognitive endurance.
Parents explained although his memory skills were still highly constrained, they were functional and advancing, so he was "developing a basic understanding at his own pace, which more and more permits him to be included with peers."
'Mission Accomplished'
They added: "He is also maturing, and thanks to his therapy with the movement specialist, he now permits himself to relax."
"Before, to make up for his weakness on the left-hand side, he maintained his right-hand side continuously stiff, which gave him discomfort."
"Currently, our pre-teen (we need to face the facts, he's not a little boy now) has realized that he must to give himself breaks; we must remind him not as much."

After a trial at the Old Bailey, the youth was convicted of murder attempt and was jailed in the year 2020 for at least fifteen years.
